The part about holding a soul to your chest and more so birthing a child made me realize I’m kind of jealous that I’ll never experience that lol an obvious thing to say but it is pretty amazing to think there is like an entire hemisphere of love designed for women only

Beautiful! Love is indeed a sacrifice, but we often read about it as though this sacrifice would take away all life and joy away from it. Your article has expressed the substance of this thought so well, not taking away our need for endurance of hardship but blessing even the most difficult circumstances with such a sweetness and strength that only love could possibly provide.

This was lovely, thank you. When I reached the words, "burnt offering", I imagined you setting your long list of sacrifices on fire. It is so very hard not to keep track of all that we have done, are doing, and will be asked to do in the future. But these sacrifices are heavy burdens to place upon another person's shoulders if they are of the unspoken kind. XO
